Well kinda, so I wanted to start a stationery brand, but I didn't have "start a stationery brand money." So, I was thinking, hey—if I got enough people on board for a really great product, got them the ability to give me money while still getting something in return without having to go the GoFundMe or Kickstarter route... then I could actually start a stationery business.

Hear me out, we're trying something a little different when it comes to funding the brand. Starting a business is expensive, so we're having you pay for it. Kidding, but not really.

Here's how it works: our customers purchase a planner, journal, or art piece, and it is sent straight to a third-party manufacturer who will make it once you pay for your purchase—well, up to 24 hours later during business hours. Then, they package and ship it straight to you. This means we don't have to pay for anything upfront and make a little off each payment. While this process technically costs more, we make about $10 on each order.

Here's the nitty-gritty: the product price is around $15, give or take, depending on the manufacturer's demand. With a set price for shipping we are offering to you, we make a profit of about $5-$25 on each product we sell. When we reach our revenue goal, we'll likely reduce the product cost by ordering printed products in bulk.
