Permission to Dream: How Big Ideas and Ambitions Start Feeling Unreachable but Lead to Growth
Share
Dreams, by nature, are vast, intangible, and sometimes overwhelming. They can feel like distant stars—beautiful but just out of reach. For many of us, this is where doubt creeps in. It’s easy to believe that something so big or undefined isn’t meant for us, but maybe the weight of that feeling is what makes dreaming so amazing. They have a way of nudging us toward something bigger, something uncomfortably unknown.
In my opinion, the very best ideas often feel too big, too complex, or too unreachable because they exist beyond the boundaries of what we think we can achieve. But what if feeling that way is the entire point? What if our dreams aren’t meant to be comfortable or immediately attainable but are instead designed to stretch us beyond what we think is possible?
Cinerih was born from that exact place of discomfort and doubt. For years, I felt trapped in the overwhelm of managing competing priorities—the constant demands of running a business, mentoring a team, and staying connected with loved ones. Every day felt like a marathon of catching up, and I’d end the day staring at my endless lists in the Notes app, feeling like I was drowning in things undone. I needed a way to channel the chaos into something that could help me regain control while nurturing my creativity and focus. That need, born out of struggle and frustration, became the seed for Cinerih’s creation. As someone with Inattentive-Type ADHD and Autism, balancing the demands of life has always felt like juggling an impossible number of balls in the air. Running a business, mentoring a team, and fostering meaningful relationships often left me overwhelmed, staring at endless lists in my Notes app and feeling like I could never catch up. I needed a way to manage my life—not just tasks, but my thoughts, my goals, and my creative spark. Cinerih began as a solution to my own struggle but has grown into something much bigger: a space for dreamers who feel like their ambitions are just out of reach.
This blog is for anyone standing at the edge of their dreams, questioning whether they’re too big or too audacious. The truth is, your dreams aren’t too big—they’re just big enough to push you toward something really effing cool<3.
Why Big Dreams Feel Unreachable
When you think about a big dream—whether it’s starting a business, writing a book, or pursuing a new passion or even something like a New Years Resolution to run a 5k—the initial excitement is often followed by fear. You’re not alone in feeling that pit of doubt in your stomach. "how do i do this," "What is I can't actually do this," "is this even possible?!?" We've all been there and I am here to tell you that big dreams feel unreachable because they require us to grow into a version of ourselves that doesn’t yet exist. Growth is uncomfortable, often messy, and can feel isolating. It challenges the patterns and routines we cling to and forces us to build new skills, take risks, and expand our comfort zones. But with that challenge comes immense reward. Every step forward, no matter how small, reveals new possibilities and uncovers strengths you didn’t realize you had. The process of growth transforms dreams from overwhelming to attainable, showing you that the person capable of achieving them was within you all along. They’re not aligned with who you are right now; they’re aligned with who you’re becoming.
Dreams challenge the comfort zones we build to feel safe. They demand time, energy, and resources that may not feel readily available. They force us to face our insecurities, to confront our imposter syndrome, and to take risks we’re not used to taking. It’s not that your dreams are too big—it’s that they’re asking you to be brave enough to meet them.
The Courage to Dream Anyway
Cinerih was a dream that felt too big for a long time. The endless Notes app lists, the overwhelm of managing details, and the constant tug-of-war between creativity and productivity made it seem impossible to create a solution. But the idea stayed with me, quietly asking to be nurtured. That’s the thing about big dreams—they don’t go away. They whisper to you when you’re not listening, and they find ways to make their presence known until you take the first step.
Courage doesn’t mean feeling fearless. Courage means moving forward even when the doubt is loud. It’s about taking one small step toward the dream, even when the full picture isn’t clear. I didn’t have all the answers when I started Cinerih. I didn’t know exactly how it would grow or what it would become. But I knew that taking no action at all was the only way to guarantee it wouldn’t happen.
Turning Dreams Into Action
Big dreams feel unreachable because they’re made up of so many unknowns. The key to making them tangible is breaking them into manageable pieces. When I started building the first Cinerih products, I wasn’t focused on the entire brand. I was focused on solving one problem: creating a tool that could help me stay organized without sacrificing creativity. That one problem became the foundation for everything else.
Here’s what I’ve learned about turning dreams into action:
-
Start Small: Focus on one aspect of your dream that feels manageable. If you want to launch a business, start with the product or service you’re most passionate about. If you want to write a book, begin with one chapter or even one page.
-
Let It Evolve: Your dream doesn’t have to be fully formed on day one. It will grow, shift, and refine itself as you take action. Give yourself permission to adapt as you learn more about what works and what doesn’t.
-
Celebrate Progress: Acknowledge every milestone, no matter how small. Dreams are built one step at a time, and every step forward is worth celebrating.
The Role of Tools in Supporting Big Dreams
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that you don’t have to do it all alone. The right tools can make all the difference in turning dreams into reality. For me, creating the products in the Cinerih lineup wasn’t just about organization; it was about creating tools that could hold space for big ideas and big dreams.
The 2025 Calendar Posters and Bingo Poster are perfect examples of this. They’re not just functional—they’re designed to inspire. The calendars help you map out your time in a way that feels bold and intentional, while the Bingo Posters encourage you to think creatively about your goals. These tools are about visualizing your dreams, keeping them front and center, and making them feel possible.
Cinerih products were designed for people like me—people who dream big but sometimes struggle with the day-to-day structure to make those dreams happen. They’re for anyone who wants to bring more intention, creativity, and joy into their planning process.
Embracing the Journey
Dreams that feel unreachable are often the ones worth pursuing most. They force us to grow, to learn, and to step into versions of ourselves we didn’t know existed. Along the way, there will be moments of doubt, setbacks, and days when it feels easier to give up. But there will also be moments of clarity, excitement, and pride as you see your dream take shape.
Cinerih exists because I believed in the value of dreaming, even when it felt impossible. It exists because I took small steps every day, even when I doubted whether it would work. And it exists because I wanted to create something that could help others feel the same permission to dream boldly and unapologetically.
If your dream feels too big, you’re on the right track. Lean into the bigness. Let it stretch you, challenge you, and push you forward. And remember, you don’t have to do it alone. Whether it’s with tools like Cinerih’s planners and posters or the support of a community, there are resources to help you along the way.
Your dreams aren’t unreachable. They’re waiting for you to take the first step. And once you do, you’ll realize that the version of you who accomplishes them was there all along, just waiting to be uncovered.
